Usage Alerts — 80% and 95% thresholds

How Alerts Work

Paymely monitors your SMS and email usage daily. When you approach your monthly limit, you automatically receive email alerts.


The Two Alert Thresholds

80% Threshold — Warning

Trigger: When you have used 80% or more of your monthly quota (SMS or emails).

Email received: "You have used 80% of your [SMS/email] quota this month."

Recommended action: Evaluate whether you need to slow down sends or purchase an add-on package for the coming days.


95% Threshold — Critical Alert

Trigger: When you have used 95% or more of your monthly quota.

Email received: "Warning: you are almost at your [SMS/email] quota limit."

Recommended action: Purchase an add-on package now or some scheduled sends will be blocked in the next few hours.


Alert Deduplication

To avoid flooding you with emails, each alert is sent only once per month per channel:

  • You receive at most 2 alerts per month for SMS (80% and 95%)
  • You receive at most 2 alerts per month for emails (80% and 95%)

If you purchase a package and drop back below 80%, you will not receive another alert if you climb back to 80% in the same month.


What Happens at 100%?

When you reach 100% of your quota and have no add-on credits left:

  • SMS sends are blocked — scheduled SMS reminders are not sent
  • Email sends are blocked — scheduled email reminders are not sent
  • No additional alerts are sent (you're already at the maximum)

Schedules are not cancelled — blocked reminders are simply skipped for that period. When you reload your quota (purchase or monthly reset), upcoming scheduled reminders will resume normally.

Missed reminders are not retroactively resent.


Check Your Current Usage

Dashboard: SMS and email progress bars (visible on the home page)

Settings → Billing: Detailed view with:

  • Exact usage this month (X sent / Y quota)
  • Remaining add-on credits
  • Monthly reset date

Alert Recipient Address

Alerts are sent to your Paymely account email (the one you use to log in).

Not receiving them?

  1. Check your spam folder
  2. Add noreply@paymely.app to your contacts
  3. Verify your address is up to date in Settings → Profile

Inactive Account Banner

If your company does not have an active subscription, you will see an amber banner at the top of every page:

"Your account is inactive. Subscribe to a plan to unlock all features."

While inactive, all action buttons are greyed out and automated schedules are paused. Visit Settings - Billing to subscribe and restore full access.


Monthly Reset

The quota resets to 0 on the 1st of each month.
