Roles and Permissions — who can do what

The 4 Roles in Paymely

Each user has a role that determines what they can see and do in the application.

AdminFull access to the company — settings, users, customers, schedules, payments, billing
ManagerCreate, edit, view — no user management or company settings
UserView customers, payments, schedules, templates, and SMS inbox — cannot modify
Read OnlyView customers and payments only

View Your Current Role

Your role is displayed in the left sidebar, below your username (colored badge).


Change a User's Role

Only Admins can change user roles.

  1. Go to Settings → Users section
  2. Find the user
  3. Change the role in the dropdown
  4. Confirm

FAQ

Can a Manager view payments? Yes — a Manager can view and record manual payments, but cannot manage company settings.

Can a User or Read Only send tests? No — sending test messages requires at minimum the Manager role.

How do I invite a new user? Via Settings → Users section (Admin only). The invitation is sent by email.
